The Benefits Of Using Exercise DVDs

If you are reading this article, then it is safe to say that you are seeking a cheap workout regimen to fit your ever-slimming wallet. It is a rather common thing to be looking all over the place for ways to tone our muscles. You could take up running outside your block a couple of times, or you could take up riding your tricycle round and round, or (gasp) you could pay for a gym membership and swing your legs on an elliptical machine for a full hour. I myself have exercised on many a machine in those stinky gyms, and so I have the right to say that I will never pay an extra dime to set foot in one again. I will always encourage using workout DVDs instead.

There was a time, long, long ago, a perky trainer at some gym pulled me aside. I was just done with sets at a weight-lifting machine, feeling like the girl that I was (and am!), and this fellow had asked me, “Why do you use these machines in a gym? Why do you use machines in this smelly place? Do you know that you will find all these machines useless really? Why don’t you just use an exercise DVD at home instead?” At the surprise of hearing those words from someone who trains people in this gym with those machines, he offered to show me some work out trainer moves he got off of a DVD– for free.

Not only did I feel so much pain in my gluteal muscles than I ever did during the past few years of using the gym, but I also felt so annoyed with the trainer’s constant teasing and distracting in between my exercise repetitions and sets. Add to that the terrible smell of the work out machines and the people there.

I was really wisened up by the strange trainer who set me free from the gym world. I finished my gym membership and instead of renewing I got a workout DVD package to try at home. What a nice new world to explore–the world of pausing and fast-forwarding. I mean–not fast-forwarding! You should know that I am not insistent about that part. If you are all about reaching your fitness potential, then you will pretend that that function does not exist on your DVD player. You too can enjoy financially and exponentially the benefits of working out at home with a DVD you can use time and time again.

With so many brands of workout DVDs ranging from yoga to weight-lifting, you will discover which trainers and workout styles are right for you. When you stick to a DVD program, you will see that what you have been trying to achieve for 5 years, you will achieve that and more in 2-3 months. You will see the clothes size drop, and yourself looking better in pictures. You will love everything that you are achieving.
