Are you ready and willing to hear about some changes that will be key in your fight against acne? I’m sure you are and I know you can do this.
The first one is something we all deal with at some level. More true for some than others. Is yours high? Your stress level that is. Having a high level of stress can cause your sebaceous glands to over act. Creating excess oil on parts of your face leaving others dry from dehydration. Get that stress under control ASAP! Stop sweating the small stuff. Relax, breathe, and laugh more. Laugh lines are a good thing.
Fast acne treatment strategies:
Getting enough water? By know we realize the importance of water for out bodies, but I’m not sure a lot of realize how powerful water can be for a fast acne treatment strategy. Forget all the technical stuff: here’s the deal; drinking at least 8-10 8oz glasses of water daily will benefit you by, getting rid of excess oil, toxins and waste. Keeps your skin moist, stops pores from clogging, relaxes your body, which in turn lessens stress levels, better sleep, you will drink less of the bad things which deplete your body of water.
Avoid using products that will shrink your pores, such as, witch hazel, oatmeal, cold water, and rubbing alcohol. When your pores shrink, this can cause clogging and lead to more breakouts.
Sugar, tea, coffee, and soda affect the entire body and your brain as well. Stay away from these types of stimulation, they can cause the glands to produce more oil. The oil has to leave your body in some way. What way would you guess that it does that from? Your pores! Making the acne even worse.
Eating healthy is just a good lifestyle choice for your health overall. Do realize that your diet does affect your skin. A low-fat diet is helpful to reduce the oils you take in, which in turn will help reduce breakouts.
Commonly, when we are stressed many people will choose one thing in particular to reduce it. Can you guess what that would be? Hmm…think. Alcohol? Yup, you guessed it. Although it will do just that, studies have shown alcohol can cause acne to begin forming. It shrinks pores, which leads to clogging.
Believe it or not, the temperature of your water is very important. Avoid extremely hot or cold water. Use tepid water on your acne affected areas.
Don’t scrub your face or use abrasive skin care products. They can be irritating to your skin. Treat your skin with kindness and use gentle non-irritating products.
For the sun worshipers out there, take care. Although the sun can be good in killing bacteria, it can also be drying and clog pores. Only stay in the sun for a short while, and take care to use a SPF of at least 15.
Keep your skin moist in extremely cold weather. As much as hot weather can be drying to your skin, so can cold weather. Protect your skin always!
Changing your bed linens often including your pillowcase will help to avoid putting back the extra oils and dead skin cells right back into your skin.
I truly believe you can make this subtle changes in your lifestyle. A big difference will be noticeable, and will motivate you to continue making even more. A healthy lifestyle is just better overall, and you will soon see that you have more energy, a healthier looking body and clearer skin to show the world!
