Owning A Persian Chinchilla Cat
Persian cats have always been regarded as rather regal and grand cats. Pedigree Persian cats are big in body structure and have sturdy legs and punched faces with stocky bodies. These cats seem to be a magnet for affection for those fond of cats and sometimes even for those who are not.
The breed of Persian cats is separated into further families where a some of their characteristics tend to differ. Mainly the difference is in the color of their coats and a closer observation reveals further details in which they tend to differ. The Chinchilla breed in particular has some very strikingly different characteristics that make it special.
The Chinchilla Cat Club was started in’08 when these cats were being exported to USA. When you have a Chinchilla breed on your hand and you have to be certain that it is a Persian Chinchilla cat, only way to do is to inspect the color of their coat as that is the place where you will observe the difference. The colors of the hair can actually vary. For example a pedigree Persian cat of black color would have only 1/7 of its hair as black.
The Chinchilla cats appear as if they have a gleaming silver coat because they have an under coat which is pure white with black tips on the hair of the head, back, tail and flank. These cats also have white hair on their chin, chest, stomach and ear tuffs but the legs are occasionally dotted with black tips.
The main appealing characteristic about these cats is the darkened rim of the eyes that would make you believe them as wearing eye makeup. Also the lips and nose are outlined black.
Then there is the Silver Shaded, which has more of a variety in the tips of its colored coat. The colors can interestingly range from lilac and blue to chocolate. This makes the Silver Shading have more shadows in its coat as compared to the Chinchilla. You can imagine the wonderful shadowy effect the coat would give off.
Also there is the Golden Shaded where the underlying coat is multi colored which again is magnificent and a treat to see because of the wonderful effect it gives to the coat of the cat. Furthermore there is a breed known as the Cameo Persian which has some red in the tips of the coat.
The eyes are what the Chinchillas are distinguished with. All the Chinchillas, Golden shaded, Silver shaded and Cameo Persian cats of pure variety will have eyes which are either green or blue green. There is a little difference between the Golden Shaded and the rest of them as far as their rim colors are concerned. Whereas the Golden Shaded would have brown rims surrounding their eyes and nose the rest of them have beautiful dark color rims around their eyes and nose.
